Ep. 153: This Month's CPI Report - Did I Say 'Garbage' Too Much?
Thursday Dec 18, 2025
Thursday Dec 18, 2025
It's hard to believe we waited two months for that. The Inflation Guy pulls no punches here. Although he is a serious defender of the Bureau of Labor Statistics' CPI team, he did not mince words in talking about today's report. But it's still data, and the IG tells you what it means.

Thanks Joe. I really appreciate the sentiment. Maybe it’s just end-of-year funk or being too busy with other things - but I didn’t want to keep doing the same meh-quality podcast, with an audience which (while dedicated) wasn’t growing. Either perk it up and make it better, or cut bait. Maybe over the holidays some idea to perk it up will occur to me! But I don’t want to be garbage. :-) Thanks for the testimonial.

Well I’m bummed out, because this podcast was my go-to for all things inflation. My routine was wake up on CPI day, check CNBC for the official narrative, then listen to Cents and Sensibility to find out what’s REALLY going on. Best of luck to you in all future endeavors.
